Updates!

I figured it was way past time to update our blog!! We have lots of news and I just haven't had time to update our blog. Well, summer is here and I am excited about not having to work so I can be home with Paige. As many of you know I got laid off from my job once this school year was over. They told us in January and I was heartbroken. The county that I worked for decided to lay off all part-time employees. I work part-time in a job-share classroom. When you go part-time you give up your seniority so even though I have worked there for eight years it doesn't really matter. So saying goodbye at the end of May was very tough for me. I adored my job and it worked perfect for our family. SO needless to say I have been on the job hunt for a few months now. I have had about four job interviews and I have another one this Friday. So far I am still playing the waiting game. I don't need full-time work but I do need something part-time. So please pray for a new job for the fall. Our second biggest piece of news is that we are expecting again!! I am 21 weeks along today and we are due on October 29th! We found out the first week in June that we are expecting a baby BOY!! We are very excited and so is Paige. We are busy trying to work on a name at this point. So, please continue to pray for Baby Rice as well! Finding a job while pregnant is not the easiest thing either I might add!! I have some new pictures to post from our trip to NY and will try to get to those today!! Just wanted to update with our news as well!

Herman the worm!!

This year in preschool Paige learned a song called, "Herman the Worm". She loves singing it because she thinks that it is so funny. Here she is for your viewing pleasure!!

Here are the words just in case you don't catch them all.

I was sitting on a fencepost chewing my gum (chomp, chomp), playing with my yo-yo (yo-yo motion) when along came Herman the worm and he was this big. I said, "Herman, what happened?" He said, "Duh, I eat lunch. (Paige likes to make up something new each time)

2nd verse: same until the end. He said," I burped. Excuse me."

Mother's Day Weekend!

On Saturday morning Paige's gymnastics class had a program to show all that they have learned so far this year. Brad and I had a great time watching Paige and she loved showing us all that she had learned. She has three more classes and then we are out for the summer!

Stretching!

Balance Beam Fun!

Hanging on the bar and learning to tuck!

I was so impressed that she wants to try without help too. She has no fear when she is trying new things. Her teacher even told Brad and I that as well.

Bar work!

High Bar fun!

Trampoline is one of Paige's favorite activities. She loves jumping!

The foam pit is her other favorite!More jumping!

Paige with her medal and ribbon for a job well done:)

Later that afternoon we took Paige to see her first movie in the theater! We saw Earth. She really liked it and did a great job. It was a successful first experience.

Having a Sprite and popcorn. You can't go to the movies your first time without a treat!

Our family!

Happy Mother's Day! Yesterday Paige and Brad bought me breakfast in bed and some pretty flowers. Here is a picture of Paige and I before we left for church! We had a wonderful fun-filled weekend and I was sad to see it end!

Uncle Jay & Nicole Visit!

The last weekend in April my brother Jay and his girlfriend Nicole came to visit for a long weekend. They had a wedding to go on Saturday but spent the rest of the time with us. They arrived early Saturday morning and left late on Tuesday night. We were sad to drop them off at the airport but had a blast with them when they were here. Paige loved spending time with both of them!
