Happy Thanksgiving!!

This year we decided that since Logan is so little and is eating so often that we would stay home and have a laid back Thanksgiving at our house just the four of us. Brad had to be at work at midnight also due to the Black Friday sale so he needed to get some rest during the day.
Yesterday Logan had his first bottle. Here is Daddy feeding him. I was afraid he wouldn't take it from me. I gave him one today though and he was fine. When I go back to work he will be on bottles for two times a day so back to pumping I go! (Since I only work a half-day he will be able to nurse the rest of the time)

I made mashed potatoes, zucchini, squash, rolls, green bean casserole, stuffing, and a small turkey breast!

Here is the breast roasting away. It all turned out yummy and we enjoyed it!

For dessert I made pumpkin spice cake. This is a fall favorite at our house. Brad and I had ours with some coffee so I could fuel Brad through his long work day!

Daddy and Paige at the table!

Logan and I at the table. Logan decided while we were eating that it was time to get fussy so I put him in the carrier so I could eat.

After dinner we played some Candyland with Paige. Brad went to bed for a couple hours and Paige and I watched Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving!

Random Pictures!!

Logan swaddled like a burrito. He has slept better the last couple nights since I have truly swaddled him so maybe it does work. He has lasted a five hour stretch and then a three/four hour stretch.

1 month old!!

Yesterday was Logan's one month checkup. It's hard to believe that a month has gone by already! I was anxious to see how much weight he had gained since we haven't been to the doctor since he was two days old!
Weight: 9 pounds and 13 oz!! When we left hospital he was 7 pounds 3 ounces (50%)
Length: 21 1/2 inches (30%) He has grown 2 1/2 inches since we left the hospital

The doctor says that he looks like he enjoys his meals!! He likes to eat a lot and is still waking at night about 2.5 hours. He does last a 4 hour stretch once in a while. I have to admit that I am ready for him to be sleeping more like 5-6 hours at a time! I am glad he is growing so well and that he is healthy! Paige was always a peanut so it interesting to see him grow so fast. At 2 months Paige was only 10 pounds and 1 ounce. Logan is almost there already at 1!

For Uncle Jay and soon to be "Aunt Nicole"

Paige received a package in the mail this past weekend. It was a special gift from her Uncle Jay and soon to be "Aunt Nicole". They are getting married in May 2010 and want Paige to be the flower girl! They sent her this book and wrote a special message inside asking her to be the flower girl! It was such a cute idea. She was beyond thrilled and is so excited! Here is Paige with her book!

Paige wanted to send them a special message back!!

Happy Birthday!!

My little man on my birthday! Last Thursday was my birthday and we spent a quiet day at home. It was beautiful outside and we spent the day outside going for a walk and watching Paige ride her tricycle. Daddy and I snuck away for a while with Logan while Paige was at school to do some Christmas shopping!

Fun Run!!

Last week at school Paige had a fun run! They raised money and ran 30 laps for their school! Paige actually only ran 2 laps and claimed that she was too tired to complete anymore. Luckily Grandpa Steve, Cheryl, and Daddy were on hand to cheer her on. She ended up doing 23 laps so she did raise some money for school!

Running her laps!
Telling Daddy she was ready to quit!

Awake for a minute:)

Paige decided to go as Belle this year. It turned out to be a dreary, cold, rainy nasty day so needless to say we didn't last very long outside. Logan and I stayed in since it was so cold and Paige and Daddy lasted only a half hour. Paige wanted to come back in because she said she was cold! She was having more fun this year passing out the candy and looking at the costumes! I have to admit I was glad she wanted to come back! I was sad that I couldn't go with them.

Ready to trick-or treat!!

First week home!!

Welcome back to the newborn stage!! I think your brain forgets just how tired you can be and still function. Logan is doing great and is eating like a champ. He has his days and nights mixed up some but each day/night gets a little easier. I think this time around we aren't as anxious and know that this will pass eventually and he will sleep more as he grows. The hardest thing has been all the worries about germs. The doctor suggested that we Brad, Paige, and I all have the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 shot. He said we have to be very careful with the baby and protect him as much as we can. It looks like it will be a long cold and flu season and we will not be leaving this house much!! He has even asked us to limit visitors and to make sure that everyone washes their hands and to try to keep little kids away from the baby as much as we can. Paige is enjoying being a big sister too and thinks that her brother is very cute and she loves him very much. She is going to school during the day still and I wash her down and change her clothes when she gets home to make sure the school germs stay away:) We will just have to pray that no one gets sick and that we can keep Logan healthy. I am breastfeeding so that should help as well. Paige is taking care of her baby in this picture above.
While we were in the hospital Paige got up in the night at Nana's to use the bathroom and she was half asleep. She bumped her eye on the bathroom sink and got a nice black eye!! We kept telling her that we had to document her first shiner:)

Paparazzi, back off!!

I'm serious about this. No more pictures.

Here is Paige acting goofy with her shiner!

First sponge bath!

All cozy in his towel!

At school Paige's teacher made her a big sister crown and she loved it! She wore it around the house for days and was very proud of being a big sister!

Nana brought Paige a special princes cake treat one night while we were eating dinner!

Logan with his eyes open:) He is super handsome! ( No bias here)

Paige has also been a big helper since we got home. Here she is helping Daddy wash the car!

Logan sleeping in his favorite chair. Paige adored this chair when she was a baby also!

Paige took this picture and was so proud of it so I just had to add it to the post!!
