Girls Weekend 2009

Last weekend some of my best friends from college met up for a girls weekend! We met up at Tara's house in Virginia. In college there were six of us that were best friends and we earned the nickname " The Six Pack" because we were always together. The six pack was Bridgette, Kate, Marcie, Melissa, Tara, and me. Marice wasn't able to join us this time and we missed her so much. We took turns making meals and sharing recipes. We enjoyed lots of girl talk and spending time together. We now live very spread out from each other (Ohio, New York, Georgia, Virginia, and Colorado) so I cherish the time we get to spend together, I miss you all already:)

Splish, Splash!!

Yesterday we met my friend Gina and her kids at a new park they just opened. It was a really neat place. It had this water station for the kids to play on along with three or four playgrounds. We splashed in the water pool, played on the playground, and had a picnic lunch! It was a fun day but super hot!!

Last Saturday we also took Paige to see Cinderella at a playhouse near here. She had the best time. She was excited to meet Cinderella after the play!

Happy Fourth of July!!

On Saturday we celebrated the Fourth with Aunt Cassie, Uncle Shane, Grant, Brooke,Nana, and Papa. We ate some yummy food and then went to watch some fireworks! I love this picture of the cousins! So cute!

Last week we met my friends Gina and Susan with their kids at the playground. Gina has Emma(3 1/2), Jack (2 1/2), and Joshua (2 1/2 months old). Susan has Jake (3) and Ben (almost 2). Here are Paige and Emma on the slide.

Susan had to climb up to get Ben because he got stuck up there and wanted help coming down. I told her I would document it for her! I knew she would be so happy to see the picture:)

Happy Fifth Annivesary!!

Today marks our fifth anniversary. It's hard to believe that it has already been five years. Brad, you are my best friend and I am so happy that I have you in my life. You are an amazing husband and a devoted father. I can't imagine being on this journey with anyone but you. I love you more every day. I look forward to all that the future holds for us and all that God will do within our marriage and our life.

One of the best nights we had was when our whole family went to the Syracuse Chiefs game. It was so fun for us all to be together. It was a blast!

Maddox's Birthday Party

Before we left for New York we attended our friend Maddox's 5th Birthday Party! I didn't get as many shots as I wish. I don't even have one with the birthday girl!! Here is Paige in the jumpy house!

Updates!

I figured it was way past time to update our blog!! We have lots of news and I just haven't had time to update our blog. Well, summer is here and I am excited about not having to work so I can be home with Paige. As many of you know I got laid off from my job once this school year was over. They told us in January and I was heartbroken. The county that I worked for decided to lay off all part-time employees. I work part-time in a job-share classroom. When you go part-time you give up your seniority so even though I have worked there for eight years it doesn't really matter. So saying goodbye at the end of May was very tough for me. I adored my job and it worked perfect for our family. SO needless to say I have been on the job hunt for a few months now. I have had about four job interviews and I have another one this Friday. So far I am still playing the waiting game. I don't need full-time work but I do need something part-time. So please pray for a new job for the fall. Our second biggest piece of news is that we are expecting again!! I am 21 weeks along today and we are due on October 29th! We found out the first week in June that we are expecting a baby BOY!! We are very excited and so is Paige. We are busy trying to work on a name at this point. So, please continue to pray for Baby Rice as well! Finding a job while pregnant is not the easiest thing either I might add!! I have some new pictures to post from our trip to NY and will try to get to those today!! Just wanted to update with our news as well!
