Our Little Talker!!

Paige standing up all by herself!! She is taking three or four steps on her own but still isn't walking all the time. She still prefers crawling and walking holding onto one of our hands. She wants to walk all the time but has to be holding on to something or someone. We have noticed that if she is carrying something in her hand she will walk by herself.

Paige is already ready for kindergarten. (Mommy's school was celebrating it's 50th birthday on Sunday and we went for a picnic and assembly.) Here I am sitting in the rocking chair in the kindergarten classroom.
Paige has really started talking a lot the past few weeks. She babbles all the time, talking to us and her toys. We understand some of the words but not all. We wish we knew what she was saying because it's so sweet to listen to and she looks so serious when she is talking. She plays well by herself and is becoming so interactive with us. She seems to understand so much of what we say to her. She plays a game with Brad where he asks her what sounds certain animals make and she tells him. She makes the noise of an elephant, monkey, and sheep. She can wave bye-bye and give high fives too. She is really starting to show her sense of humor and laughs all the time and tries to get us to laugh at her. She sits in her high-chair and blinks at us until we blink back at her. Then she giggles and does it again. She loves when we chase after her saying, "I'm going get you" and she laughs so hard and falls over so we will catch her and tickle her. She will also tickle back if told to.Some of the words she says are: hey, uh-oh, daddy, mama,bye-bye, see, see da(we think da is that), tank tou(which is thank you, this seems to be her favorite word..she says it whenever you give her something). A few times she has repeated some other words to us but doesn't say them all the time. Can you tell we are proud of her? She is an amazing blessing to both of us.

We have a walker?

Paige may have started walking!! We are so excited!! She has been taking 1-3 steps now for a few weeks. Yesterday morning she took about five steps. Then last night she took about twelve steps in a row! We couldn't believe it!! Then today she was playing outside with us and kept walking back and forth to us.(which was about five/six steps) We have to initiate it she doesn't start walking by herself. Maybe in the next few days she will be walking all the time.

What's happening in the 13th month??

Paige loves to walk around pushing her car.
Paige is an avid cruiser and loves to look at pictures and talk to them.
Paige loves dumping out the cabinets and her dresser drawers and putting it on the floor. I looked away for a second and this is what I see!! Don't worry, I clean it every time!!
Paige loves pushing her toys around the house and talking to them. She loves playing.
She also LOVES books. She opens her books and acts like she is reading them to herself. She loves to read at night before she goes to sleep. **Her shirt says, "Everyone loves a blue-eyed girl". It's true!!

We took Paige to the swings at the playground in our neighborhood. She loves playing outside and had the best time playing! She had been really sick with a horrible virus for the past two weeks. So as soon as she was feeling better we wanted to take her outside to play.
WHEE!! This is so much fun mommy!!

P.S. We have been pacifier free now for three weeks! We are almost bottle free too. When Paige was sick a few times the only way she would drink was from her bottle.

Paige's First Birthday Party!!!

Paige's Year Check-up!

We took Paige to the doctor yesterday for her year check-up. She weighed nineteen pounds and 7 ounces which is at the 15 %. We just missed the 20 pound cut-off for turning her seat around. Probably another month we should be able to switch her. Her length was 27 1/2 which is at the 10%. She is still very petite! The doctor said she looked healthy and was surprised at how many teeth she has already. She has eight and one of the molars on top is coming through. He said that was early to have those molars. They usually come in around 15 months. In other news she is cruising the furniture, the walls, anything she thinks will hold her. She also is walking behind a walker pushing it. This week she has taken a couple steps without realizing it also. We are working on getting rid of the bottle and we are almost pacifier free. It's sad to get rid of these items more for us than her.

Eleven Months Old!!!

Paige turned eleven months old on January 2nd!! It's so hard to believe! She is cruising the furniture a little now and loves playing with all of her new toys. She says, "mama", "dada", "hey", and "uh-oh" when she drops stuff. It is very cute!! She loves riding on her mermaid car that Aunt Cassie, Uncle Shane, Grant, & Brooke got her!! We are excited to see what the eleventh month brings!!

Paige and Brennan smiling on the couch. The day after Christmas some of our friends meet at my mom's house to all spend a few hours together. It was so great to see everyone and we had a great time just hanging out and catching up. It was so neat to see all the babies play together. Paige excited to see Ryan.Brad, Jenn, Marcie, Bridgette, & Don. Marcie, Jenn, & Kate below. I had a great picture of all the girls and the babies but some of the moms had their eyes closed. It wasn't our finest moment:)

Merry Christmas

Sporting my first Christmas bib. Paige had a wonderful Christmas. We got to go to NY and spend time with all the family. We spent Christmas day on a plane in the morning getting to NY and then we went to Paige's great grandparents for presents and great food. Then we spent the rest of the day at Grandma's. It was a perfect first Christmas with Paige celebrating with all of her family. We celebrated with Brad's family on the 23rd too!
