Happy Valentine's Day!

On Thursday Paige's class had a Valentine's Day party. Here is her decorated box with all of her Valentine's inside!
She is also wearing a Valentine's dress that my friend Gina made for her. It has her initials monogrammed on the front! It's so cute!! Thanks, Gina!!

Paige's Birthday Party!

Last Saturday we celebrated Paige birthday with a princess party. Her she is in her costume!
I set up a craft table for the kids to each make their own crowns.

Here is a sign that said, "Princess Party".

This is the cake that my mom and I made. My mom made the cake itself and the frosting. I put together the foam castle and used Paige's dolls to decorate.

Close up of the cake.

Here is Paige smiling with her princess cake. She was taking a nap when we decorated her cake. When she saw it the first time she said, "Awww, it's so beautiful."

Happy 3rd Birthday, Paige!

Today my precious daughter turned three. Brad took the day off from work and we took a day to just celebrate Paige. We started with her opening one of her presents from her daddy & me. She got a Cinderella dress from us. She can't wait to show it off at her birthday party on Saturday! Then we went out to breakfast. Then we took Paige shopping at Target where she got to pick out one present. She picked out more princess dolls to play with. We also bought her some paints to play with.

After shopping we came home and played with her toys and Paige helped me bake her cake. We spent the afternoon at home just the three of us. It was wonderful.

Art time!

This evening we went out to dinner to celebrate as well. Then we came home and had some cake.

Paige blowing out her candle. Our princess in now crashed out in bed after a long day. What a blessing to spend this day with her. We had a wonderful time as a family today. It's amazing how much Paige has changed in a year. It was so fun for her to understand what a special a day it was and all the funny conversations we had with her today. She has grown so much and she amazes us every day. We treasure the person she is becoming and we are so proud of her.

A day with my girl!

Playing Candy Land with Mommy.
Our self-portrait

Making her move.

While I was exercising Paige was playing quietly in her room. I went to check on her and I found Katie in the stroller with a bib on. Paige was feeding her and having her sit at the table. Such a little mom.

Reading books together before nap time.
Today was just a normal day at home playing with my sweet girl and doing normal chores. I was struck by such a happy feeling as we sat playing Candy Land together. I am so blessed to be able to only work part-time and to spend the rest of my days with my daughter. Being a mom is hard and challenging, yet the most rewarding job I have ever had. I am so thankful for the time that I get to spend with Paige and I don't regret my decision to work part-time at all especially after losing Gabe over three months ago. I have truly realized the importance of not taking anything or anyone for granted. What a blessing to be with her and to be her mom. (Only two weeks till my girl turns three!)

American Girl Fun!

For Christmas one of Paige's gifts was a voucher from her Nana for an American Girl Bitty Baby. Nana said that after Christmas(due to our trip to NY) we could go to the store and Paige could pick out a doll. This was also a gift for my niece Brooke. She would be getting an original American Girl doll. So Paige, Brooke, Nana, Aunt Cassie, and I headed out last Saturday for a girl's day out. We spent about an hour in the American Girl store and then had a nice lunch out. Thank you so much Nana for Paige's special doll! It was a great day!

Paige and her doll. She finally settled on the name Katie for her doll. She went through about five different ones! Paige picked out one of the Bitty Baby Twins. She has blond hair and blue eyes just like my girl:) They were running a sale were you could just buy one of the twins. You normally have to buy both. Nana decided to buy Paige an outfit for her doll, also!

Paige loved this bath for the dolls.
