Update from The Rice's

I have so enjoyed my time home with Paige this summer and can hardly believe that the summer is almost over. I have to go back to work on August 6th for pre-planning and the first day of school is August 13th. So I have two weeks left home with Paige and I hope that it goes very slow! She has been so fun and it's so neat to watch how much she is learning at this time. She is a sponge and seems to be doing something new everyday. The house is still for sale...we were really hoping to sell before I went back to work. I am only going part-time . I will be job-sharing with another teacher and we will share the classroom. I will work three days a week or two days a week. We have had someone interested in the house and they came back for a second showing. It was very positive and we are just waiting for an offer. We also found out that our babysitter will not be able to watch Paige so please pray for us to be able to find a new in home care babysitter for Paige. It's going to be a tough few weeks around here so keep up the prayers!

Raint Day Fun!

It has been raining here almost everyday. So last Sunday we decided to let Paige play on the deck in the rain. She had a blast!

The last two pictures are of Paige making her, "I'm cold" face. If you ask Paige if she is cold she looks at you and shakes her arms and acts like she is chattering her teeth! It is so funny. You have to see it in person.

17th Month-Old Paige

Last week I was cooking dinner and Paige wanted to help. So her I put her in an apron and put her hair in a "Pebbles" style ponytail and let her help!

Already in love with shoes and trying on Mommy's sandals. Paige loves to play with shoes. She likes to bring you your shoes and make you put them on.
She actually walked around in them fairly well. I was laughing watching her.

Pit stop #3- Ohio

Brennan and Paige riding in the car. We stopped to visit our good friends Don, Bridgette, and their son Brennan on the way home. They just moved to Ohio for Don's job as an associate pastor. They also just moved into a new house and we were their first visitors. We had so much fun!

Last day at Pit Stop #2-NY

My mom threw a barbecue for lots of family and friends to visit with us on out last day in NY. It was so fun and we had a wonderful time visiting everyone. Here is Paige enjoying her corn on the cob.

NY for the Fourth!!

Vacation Pit Stop #1- Virginia

On our second summer vacation we stopped first in Virginia to visit our friends Matt, Tara, and their son Noah. It was so great to see them and we had a nice time catching up, eating good food, playing games, eating gelato, and letting the kids play.
