Toby with his mom & dad. They came to spend the day with us at the pool. It was very fun. We love to spend time with the Gunters. We wish they lived closer. Toby is 14 months old.

Paige's News

1) We took Paige to the doctor a week and a half ago. She got four shots but she did really well. She only cried during the shots and seemed fine afterwards. She weighed 15 pounds 6 ounces which was at the 30 % and was 24 3/4 inches long which was at the 15%. She is growing but is still petite.
2) She has tried many new fruits and vegetables. She has tried applesauce,pears, peaches, prunes, and bananas. She has also tried peas, green beans, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes. She loves peas, sweet potatoes, and bananas the best. She's not too picky. She truly seems to like to eat! She loves oatmeal, too!
3) She can also sit by herself for about five minutes until she plops to the side. She is just working on her balance. She is very active and has started to army crawl. She rolls everywhere and is so curious about everything around her.

Mommy has to strip me down to my diaper sometimes when I eat dinner because I make such a mess. Mommy was trying to clean my dishes but I wanted to play with them.

Paige is six months today!

Playing in my Jumperoo!! (Below) After all that jumping now I need to sleep! Now that she can roll over Paige likes to nap on her belly with her blankie.

It's so hard to believe that Paige is six months old today! She has already been alive for half of a year! It's seems as though she has been in our lives for even longer:) We can't imagine her not in our life! We treasure her so much and thank God for her daily! She is getting bigger every day and it seems like she is learning so much so fast. She loves to giggle and babble. It is so fun to hear her talk. Brad and I love to make her laugh. She is a very active baby. She loves to roll around on the floor and play with all of her toys. She is working on sitting up ( she lasts for about a minute and then plops over) and loves to try to move on her tummy. When she lays on her tummy she puts her knees high in the air and tries to move forward. She will be crawling soon! She also loves her Jumperoo! I am attaching a couple pictures. I have some more to post later! So check back soon for those and an update on her six month stats! We take her for her six month check-up on Friday!

The Rice's on Vacation

Below we have posted lots of pictures of our vacation. We left on June 30th and returned on July 12. We drove to visit some of our friends and family. We drove to Virginia first to visit with our friends Tara and Matt. Tara & Matt are expecting their first baby in August and we wanted to introduce them to Paige too. Don and Bridgette drove down from NJ to hang out with us too. They came so we could meet their son Brennan. We had a great weekend visiting and playing with the babies. Then we drove to NJ to spend one night with Bridgette and Don. It was so great to see all of our friends. Then we drove to NY to spend time with family. We had a fabulous time celebrating the fourth with fireworks and lots of good food. We miss the Hofmann hot dogs, salt potatoes, and half moon cookies and have to eat them when we get to town! It was so wonderful introducing Paige to many of our family and friends. Our friends Kate and James drove up to see us with their son Ryan too. We are so glad we got to see them. We get to go back to NY in September for Melanie and Erik's wedding! This time we are flying! It was a long drive especially with a five month old!

Milestones

Recently Paige has had a few milestones! I thought I would share them so you can be as excited as we are!!
1) She rolled over from her back to her tummy two weeks ago and hasn't stopped since. She loves to roll around and play until she gets frustrated that she can't get back onto her back!
2) Then yesterday she rolled from her tummy to back. So she can roll both ways. Now that she realizes that she can do both it hasn't stopped! Every time you put her down she is rolling around on the floor. We have to keep all eyes on her now. Her favorite move is a complete 360.
3) She has also learned what her thumb is for! (See attached pic)

Baby Dedication

Last Sunday at church(Father's Day) was baby dedication. We had Paige dedicated at our church. It was amazing to know that God has given us this little miracle and we are dedicated as parents as to raising her to know the Lord and to follow His will for her life. We are so proud to have had this day as a family especially on Father's Day. Happy first Father's Day to Brad! Our pastor asked Brad and I if Paige could be the baby that he prayed over and we were touched. It made it even more special! Sorry the pictures are dark, the church had the lights dimmed! I got to have cereal for the first time!

Paige got to start eating rice cereal a couple weeks ago and it has been so fun getting the chance to watch her eat cereal! I love seeing the faces that she makes and the noises that she makes while she eats it! So far she has tried rice cereal and oatmeal. She seems to like them both! I sometimes wonder if she would eat whatever you put into her mouth. We hope that's true when it's time to eat vegetables!!
